We want to be the best company we can possibly be. We want to leave a positive legacy for the people we work with, the communities we operate in, and the world in which we live.
ALJAZERA launched a sustainability strategy that the company calls "Environment." The strategy addresses the three areas that are most important to Jazera's business: the environment, materials, and communities. These pillars were chosen as the focus of the new strategy because they are interconnected with one another and with Jazera's core mission. The strategy will be carried out over a five-year period.
The company is also committing to set a science-based target to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2040—and outlining its ambitions to go Beyond Net Zero Carbon.
which will include a plan for 100% renewables in key markets by 2050 and using technology to cut emissions from our direct operations by 70%. These ambitions have been identified as the most material to the business by key stakeholder groups including the company’s customers, employees, shareholders, and the communities in which the company operates.
Reaching Beyond Net Zero Carbon.
We want to enhance our impact on the environment, working with our supply chain partners and customers to ensure that our choices are sustainable.
Government and private sector customers require their projects to comply with industry standards such as BREEAM & LEED etc..
Their requirements are important to the planning authorities. In the past five years, we built a foundation, during which unprecedented reforms were made in the public sector’s operating model, the economy and society as a whole.
We are working toward certifications in this area and our technical experience is improving the whole-life performance of customers'-built assets. We want to do more than just meet industry standards; we want our customers to benefit from sustainable infrastructure that will help them reduce their operating costs while providing better quality of life for the people who use it.
