ALJAZERA set up a plan to achieve a LEED certification for its new infrastructure projects, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of Saudi Arabia and to comply with the requirements of its clients and partners, who are prominent global companies.
We believe that the green building philosophy offered by LEED is based on the three pillars of sustainable development: economic development, social development and environmental protection. ALJAZERA plans to achieve LEED Platinum certification for its building’s design and construction projects, which is a very high standard for green buildings according to international standards.
ALJAZERA will be evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of each resource and will then be proposing a rough cut for the review process.
ALJAZERA is working with the infrastructure teams to develop a rough cut out process of BREEAM to assess and understand the eligibility requirements of the available resources for implementation. The core team will be working with ALJAZERA on a weekly basis in order to ensure that all the requirements for the certification are met prior to submission.
